Last Day on Earth: Establishing The Shortest Base Defense

Source: Google Play

It goes without saying that your base building is the only form of comfort or consolidation that you have from this zombie- infested world. When stuck in the aftermath of the apocalypse, surrounded by savage enemies, the world can be a cold and lonely place. Before thinking about anything else, you need a strong base defense strategy.

Apart from going three weeks without food, three days without water or three minutes without air, without reliable accommodation and a way to protect it, then you are as good as dead. Lucky for you, a base will ensure that your base will not be raided. Before too long, you will be prepared to hunt zombies and grill bears:

a) Establish the basics

Your three main tools (spear, pickaxe, and hatchet) will allow you to establish what you have to do to build your base. Collect 9 pine logs, 6 limestones, and the three schematics. You should be ready to break lime deposits and trees to get the base going. It is important to remain as safe as you can be before the zombies get to you.

b) Fortify your position

With all your tools in hand roughing will be a little less rough. It is time to fortify your position… plan you secure your base and design walls and a door. Stock up on all your provisions to prevent you from getting hungry or dehydrated. Also, have empty containers that
can be used for food or water storage.

c) Upgrade

Upgrading your walls and floors matters and it is crucial for survival. No matter what, a zombie attack will break down all walls. To properly upgrade your base, re-visit construction mode and while selecting your walls and floors, press the upright arrow to show upgrade.

Once you have made solid decisions about the above considerations, it is time to:

i) Pick the perfect building location

Location is everything! Therefore, you would want to choose the very best part of the map before you break ground. The corners of the map are more welcoming and they also have a lot of room to expand or build a variety of many rooms. Remember, the building should be at least two squares from the edge. This way, you will have space to set around traps, walk around the buildings and protect your perimeter.

ii) Start building

On Last day on Earth: Survival, it is always best to create some floors, walls, windows, and doors first. All of these are essential in keeping unwanted enemies out of your base. Do not build too big of a house as it will become very expensive to upgrade.

iii) Formulate a protection strategy

Unfortunately, when you first start playing the game, you will be considered a lower level player. In this case, the only way to protect your base would be by the use of spike traps that will go all around your base and kill any zombies who dare to come close.

A secure base is your lifeline when it comes to Last day on Earth: Survival. When you get started, there will not be any real players in the game, as such, you will have plenty of time to level up before the zombies rear their ugly heads.

Ways To Stay Alive In Last Day on Earth: Survival

Last Day on Earth: Survival, is a game that lets you know that you need to remain alive from the get-go. This zombie-infested world is kind to no one and you have to survive the onslaught. The beauty of this is that you can apply a number of tactics for the purpose of
self-preservation. However, when you have to face off against other real-life opponents, the fun begins. You simply have to do everything you can to get through the levels. Here are ways to stay alive on Last day on Earth: Survival.

· Craft all the basics

Even in the real world, human beings need food, water and shelter to survive. Last day on Earth: Survival is no different. First, you will need the basics, which include your spear, pickaxe, and hatchet. These tools will come in handy from the very beginning stages. This cannot be emphasized enough- check the abandoned pick up truck for essential materials as you cannot skimp on these three. They will give you the power to fight against the zombies.

· Craft all important items

Once you have crafted your hatchet, pickaxe, and spear, focus on other items such as the bed and rain catcher. Build a house to ensure you are safe and sound at all times. Do not forget to craft a backpack because it makes it easy to carry your essentials. Instead of simply stuffing everything in your pocket.

· Do not forget the door

While this may sound like a small aspect of building your home, a door will prevent any attacks and also ensure that your supplies remain
safe, especially from other players. There is nothing better than being safe during player raids. However, if your opponents use C4 explosives, they will be able to take your door out.

· Scavenge for the right items

The best way to survive in Last day on Earth: Survival is by polishing up on your scavenging skills. Trust that a spear and hatchet will is not all you need, especially since you will be dealing with hoards of zombies. You will be required to scavenge in the areas that are close to your base and hopefully stumble across useful things. Do not overlook anything, items like a military suit and drop-offs will keep you alive for that much longer.

· Never go overboard with your gun

It may seem like going wild your gun is the best way to fight against your opponents. However, this is not true. When you secure a gun, do all you can to save those bullets? It is best to stick to that good old spear when exploring. To be safe, always stick to the green areas but even so-be careful!

These survival tips make all the difference when it comes to staying alive on Last day on Earth: Survival. The game certainly captures the essence of what it is to survive a zombie apocalypse. These tips will take your gameplay one step further and make you one of the best players to ever tread the ground of Last Day on Earth.

Last Day on Earth: Saying Goodbye to the Comfort Zone

One thing is for sure, you will not stay in your home base forever. Granted, the idea of going out and venturing into unchartered waters, in Last day on Earth: Survival seems scary. But as a player, this is a step that you simply have to take saying goodbye to your comfort zone at least temporarily-is a must.

Look Around

You are free to either walk or run and head in any direction that you desire. This is where the real journey begins. If you move around long enough, you will encounter a green shade which will eventually take you to the main map. You certainly have to be keen because everything that you see from here on matters.

All of these elements have a role in your future gameplay. On the map, you will notice options such as clans, new base crafting, inventory and shop among other options. For instance, as you progress through the game, you will be able to join clans or build a new base if your
the original one is attacked.

Travel If You Must

The map is inclusive of various locations where you can travel to. The beauty of Last day on Earth: Survival is that it does not restrict its players in any way. If anything, you have the free will to choose. The different locations have woody areas, rock formations and a variety of scattered bases. It is advisable to first focus on the woody and rocky areas.

Do not hesitate to visit the green and yellow spots because they are safe and moderately safe respectively. As with anything else in life, red is a no go! Each and every zone has resources but some more than others. Explore your area of choice and you will come across boxes, bags and many other goodies.

Careful! You may also come face to face with zombies, wolves and other players. Walking will slow down the game and running may take away your energy. So, choose wisely!

Welcome To Your New Area!

As you travel, you will realize that the surrounding area is zombie infested. Once you get to your destination (hopefully), you will be greeted with a setup that mimics your first home base. However, here you will find berry bushes and loot boxes which carry items such as metal scraps, rope, duct, water bottles and other essentials.

Although you are hungry and the berries look delicious, they could be poisonous. On Last day on Earth: Survival, you cannot afford to let your guard down. Get the basic backpack and store everything that you need.

Kill or Be Killed

While it may sound awful to kill other players, it is the only way to get ahead in this game. When gathering resources, you will naturally come across other artificial intelligence players. They are known to sprint full force and attack when you least expect it. Thus, it is best to
always be on guard and attacks first.

In your quest to get to the end, do not spare anyone. Do not care who you step on. Look out for yourself!

Last Day On Earth: Getting Through Day One

When trying to survive in a world that wants to eliminate you, the scariest part of it all is being alone; having no one to rely on and depending on yourself for everything. This is just like the experience you will get when you first play that Last day on Earth: Survival.

Stranded In The Middle of a Forest

The game will first thrust you amidst fear and confusion in a forest full of trees, rocks, and clumps of grass. Trust me, you will not even be appropriately dressed for the "occasion". All you will have on will be a wanting pair of red boxer shorts.

Look closely and you will notice an abandoned pickup truck that has probably rusted away. Inside it lies two ropes, three scrap metal, a cleaver and thick jacket-one that you really need! And just like that, day one begins! From here, you will have to decide what to do, where to go and most importantly, how to survive against the zombies.

First Things First!

Last day on Earth: Survival is built on the premise of crafting and resource gathering. Therefore, you should gather all appropriate resources in your starting area. Remember, this point will also act as your base as it is free from the zombies- but not for long. Just as in real life, east or west your home base will always be best.

You are free to set up a house and anything that is found here remains. When you visit your "crafting menu", a pickaxe and hatchet will be readily available for you. Of course, these weapons come in handy when gathering resources. The inventory button will also let you know
what you currently have, your health status, thirst, and other statistics.

Start Building That Cozy Home

No one wants to stay out in the cold, thus, building your home is only the most obvious thing to do. The structure will protect you from all the chaos that is about to befall you. Scared yet? You should be!

Now it is time to put your carpentry skills to good use. By the push of a button, you will preview a number of building options and you are free to choose whichever you prefer, provided you have enough wood. Items like a saw and hammer will get you started. Do not forget to place floors, walls, and windows in your house.

Settle In!

The next step is for you to settle into your new home once you are done with the building. It is safe to say that this is the most comfortable you will be in quite a while. The chaos will begin at any time, therefore, take in the silence while you still can. The beauty of Last day on Earth: Survival is that everything does not need to take place in one day.

Unlike other games, you will not have to start from the beginning the next time you press 'play'. As a new player, you can simply end your first day with your completed house. There are many more levels to get through as you progress and even more interesting things to look forward to. For now-good luck staying alive!
